Drones used in live coverage 2016 Circuit of Ireland Rally
On 8 & 9 April, we were delighted to work with Skyline Aerial as part of a highly experienced team of professional aerial drone operators helping beam live coverage of several stages of the 2016 Circuit of Ireland Rally to viewers in 130 countries.
Our work, like the event itself, was fast and furious at times, operating in relay to maintain continuous coverage from our aerial platforms at all times in order to make full use of available satellite coverage.
We recorded high definition video to on-board data cards whilst maintaining a cable-fed link to the satellite van, where our footage was mixed with that from other ground camera crews and fed with live commentary to the viewers.
